Duties Perform a wide range of hair services including cutting, styling, coloring, and hair extensions with precision and artistry. Provide expert consultations to understand client needs and recommend suitable treatments or styles based on face shape, hair type, and personal preferences. Execute specialized services such as eyelash extensions, nail care, makeup application, hair threading, and straight razor shaves to enhance client looks. Manage appointment scheduling using salon software like
MINDBODY
to ensure smooth daily operations and optimal client flow. Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning tools and workstations in compliance with health regulations. Upsell retail products such as hair care items, cosmetics, and accessories through excellent customer service and product knowledge. Mentor junior staff or apprentices to foster skill development and uphold the salon's high service standards. Skills Proficiency in hair styling techniques including precision cuts, blowouts, braiding, and advanced coloring methods based on color theory principles. Experience with hair extensions application and eyelash extension techniques to offer clients versatile beauty options. Strong knowledge of salon software systems like
MINDBODY
for scheduling, point-of-sale transactions, and client management. Excellent communication skills to effectively consult with clients about their desired looks and explain treatment options clearly. Ability to perform nail care services and makeup applications for complete beauty transformations. Expertise in sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff at all times. Store management experience or leadership skills to assist with front desk duties or mentoring team members. Retail sales acumen with the ability to upsell products confidently while maintaining a positive customer experience.
