As a Licensed Barber/Hairstylist, you will be responsible for providing top-quality grooming services, building lasting client relationships, and contributing to a welcoming salon atmosphere. Your skills in hair cutting, styling, coloring, and grooming will help clients look and feel their best every day. This paid position is ideal for motivated professionals eager to grow their career in the beauty industry. Responsibilities Perform professional barbering services including haircuts, shaves, beard trims, and grooming treatments using straight razors and other tools. Deliver expert hair styling, coloring, and hair extension applications tailored to each client's preferences. Maintain impeccable sanitation and hygiene standards in accordance with industry regulations and store policies. Provide excellent customer service by listening carefully to client needs, offering product recommendations, and upselling retail items like hair care products or nail care essentials. Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing waitlists, and handling retail sales transactions with retail math accuracy. Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques on hair threading, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and other beauty services to foster a collaborative environment. Experience Valid cosmetology or barbering license issued by the state or relevant licensing authority. Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a strong background in hair styling, coloring, and grooming services. Knowledge of sanitation standards and best practices for maintaining a clean work environment. Skilled in various techniques including hair extensions, hair coloring (color theory), nail care, makeup application, eyelash extensions, and hair threading. Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients and team members effectively. Experience in store management or supervisory roles is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for mentoring others is highly valued.
