Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Personal Care Cosmetologist to provide in-home professional beauty services to elderly, disabled, or recovering individuals. This unique role combines the expertise of a licensed cosmetologist with the supportive duties of a home health aide, helping clients retain dignity with services that are challenging for them to obtain without assistance. We boost clients overall self-esteem and well-being in the comfort of their own homes, at rehabilitation facilities, in hospice, or at the hospital. Wherever our clients call home, we bring the salon experience to them! Key Responsibilities Provide professional cosmetology services, including hair cutting, styling, coloring, shampooing, scalp treatments, manicures, pedicures, basic facials, and makeup application. Monitor and report changes in clients' condition, vital signs (if trained), or emotional well-being to salon manager, supervisors or family members. Offer companionship, emotional support, and engage clients in light activities to promote mental well-being. Schedule appointments, maintain client records, and ensure compliance with care plans. Sanitize and maintain cosmetology tools and equipment in accordance with health and safety standards. •We are mobile, and it is a requirement to maintain organized and clean supplies for regulatory compliance and client safety. Extensive training will be given during training and field evaluations•CPR and First Aid certification (required or willing to obtain). High school diploma or GED. At least 1-2 years of experience in cosmetology; experience working with elderly or disabled clients is a plus. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation to get to work, and clean driving record (to operate company vehicle). ) Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and MVR, health clearance including TB test, Flu Vac, Hep. (to operate company vehicle and work inside healthcare organizations.) Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift/assist clients (up to 50 lbs), and perform manual tasks. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Perform light housekeeping tasks related to where you preform service (Clean up hair, but leave client better than we found them)Essential Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and understand their needs/preferences. Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor with a focus on dignity and respect. Excellent customer service and listening skills for personalized beauty consultations and care. Creativity and knowledge of current beauty trends, products, and techniques. Detail-oriented with strong time-management and organizational abilities. Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise cosmetology work. Basic knowledge of infection control, sanitation, and safety protocols. Ability to work independently, follow care plans, and handle sensitive situations discreetly.
