Hiring Agency General Government Cabinet | Department of Veterans Affairs Location 200 Veterans Dr Hazard, KY 41701 USA Description The Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center (EKVC) is a 120-bed long-term care facility providing skilled nursing and rehabilitative care exclusively to Kentucky's Veterans. Proudly operated by the Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs, EKVC was built with a single purpose — to honor and care for those who have served our nation. We are currently seeking a caring and dependable Cosmetologist to join our team. This position provides personal grooming and cosmetology services to our Veteran residents while helping promote dignity, comfort, and quality of life in a long-term care environment. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Provide hair care services including shampooing, conditioning, cutting, setting, styling, and basic hair treatments Perform grooming services such as facials, manicures, eyebrow shaping, and make-up application Monitor and assist with basic hair and scalp care needs Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of cosmetology equipment, tools, and work areas Requisition and maintain cosmetology supplies and complete required records and reports Assist with resident-centered recreational and social activities when cosmetology duties are complete Support residents during group activities, events, and outings as assigned Provide compassionate interaction and engagement with Veteran residents Perform other duties as assigned

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

(AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must be licensed as a cosmetologist by the Kentucky Board of Hairdressers and Cosmetologists.
