Our ideal candidate is an aspiring hairstylist or colorist who wants to gain experience and connections in the industry. In addition to shampooing hair and mixing colors, you should be willing to perform light cleaning duties, such as sweeping the floor and doing laundry. As our Salon Assistant, you also help with receptionist duties, including answering phones and scheduling clients. We expect all of our salon stylists and assistants to represent the aesthetic of our studio and keep our clients coming back! The salon is conveniently located next to the red, green, and blue train lines making for an easy commute. All applicants must have a valid cosmetology license. Salon Assistant Duties and Responsibilities Shampoo hair Prepare hair stylist stations Sweep floors Mix colors Laundry Stock towels, products, and retail inventory Answer phones and schedule appointments Provide other assistance as necessary Salon Assistant Requirements and Qualifications Completion of a cosmetology school program Cosmetology license strongly preferred Professional or aesthetic appearance Customer service skills Flexible schedule
