Position Overview:

As a Salon Assistant, you'll play a key role in ensuring our salon operates smoothly and that our clients receive excellent service from start to finish. You'll assist with day-to-day tasks, provide support to our stylists, and help maintain a clean, welcoming environment for both clients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Offer refreshments and assist clients with any initial needs Assist stylists with prep work (e.g., shampooing, setting up workstations, color mixing) Keep workstations and salon floors clean and organized Oversee product stock and replenishment Ensure towels, capes, and other salon materials are ready and available Develop a strong understanding of the salon's product line and services offer and stay updated on new offerings and techniques Help promote and educate clients about retail products and salon services Clean and sanitize tools, equipment, and salon surfaces as needed Help with applying color or treatments when needed, depending on training Assist with other tasks as needed to support the team

Requirements:

Valid Massachusetts cosmetology license or enrollment in a cosmetology program. Strong customer service and communication skills. Attention to detail and cleanliness. Ability to stand for long periods and assist with various tasks. Team player with a collaborative attitude. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of hair care products and styling techniques. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Professional appearance and demeanor. Why Join Us?
