Helena College is seeking qualified applicants who wish to become part of a dynamic and creative team for a position as a Salon Floor Coach . The Salon Floor Coach which reports to the Director of Cosmetology will oversee students working in the Salon at Helena College as part of their educational requirements.
Responsibilities include:
Provide guidance and coaching to students working on customers in the salon Inspect the work of students and provide feedback on the results as part of the learning process Collaborate with program faculty and the director on simulation activities to provide meaningful practice activities to students between clients Direct students to perform Oversee daily sanitation duties performed by students Ensure student compliance with Board of Barbers & Cosmetologists requirements while on the salon floor Assist students with retail duties including managing inventory and making sales There are no supervisory duties in this position. The Salon Floor Coach will oversee student work and the work of student employees staffing the reception desk in the salon. Must hold both a Montana Cosmetologist license and a Montana Cosmetology Instructor license. Must have a desire to assist and coach students working in a salon setting and be comfortable standing for long period of time. Preferred Experience training others preferred.
Work Schedule:
Monday and Tuesday 10:30am - 5:00pm, Friday and Saturday 8:00am - 5:00pm
