Washoe Valley, NV Job Details Part-time | Full-time $30 - $40 an hour 4 days ago Qualifications Customer communication Full Job Description Overview I am a Master Barber in Washoe Valley. I have two chairs available for rent. My shop has two rooms so I can take a Cosmo or Barber. I'm getting too busy for walkins, but I would love to start advertising and growing my business. I have very high expectations for professionalism and I want to make sure that any addition to my home away from home has similar values as I do and carry themselves in a way that my clients are used to. Duties Provide expert barbering and hairstyling services including cuts, trims, blowouts, and styling tailored to each client's preferences Apply color theory principles for highlights, lowlights, full color applications, and creative coloring techniques Utilize salon software for appointment scheduling, client records, and retail sales tracking Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools and workstations in accordance with health regulations Offer retail product recommendations through upselling techniques to boost sales of hair care, nail care, makeup products, and accessories Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing check-ins/outs, and handling inquiries professionally Mentor junior team members by sharing expertise in hair styling, barbering techniques, and customer service best practices Skills Proficiency in hair styling techniques including cutting, coloring, blowouts, and special treatments Strong knowledge of salon software systems for appointments and retail management Excellent communication skills to connect with clients and understand their desired looks effectively Deep understanding of sanitation procedures to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff Ability to perform store management tasks such as inventory control and retail math calculations Skilled in retail sales strategies including upselling products that complement services provided Knowledge of color theory principles for customized coloring solutions Capable of performing precise grooming services such as straight razor shaves and hair threading Demonstrated ability to treat others in a positive manor and make sure to keep a professional atmosphere Be your own boss, set your own prices and set your own hours!
