Job Description

C-TEC's Postsecondary Center is seeking a passionate and experienced part-time Substitute Cosmetology Instructor to lead and monitor adult students in the Cosmetology and Manicuring programs during clinic/lab activities, with the possibility for additional hours as our programs grow; the working hours are Monday & Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday & Thursday from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., and applicants must be licensed Cosmetologist in the state of Ohio, with the ability to obtain a Cosmetology Instructor's License and Adult Education Instructor's License, and the pay rate starts at $25 per hour.
Responsibilities:
Lead and monitor adult students in hands-on Cosmetology and Manicuring clinic/lab activities. Provide instruction in hair cutting, styling, coloring, skincare, nails, and makeup in a real-world, practical setting. Develop and maintain a curriculum that meets industry standards and state regulations. Guide students in perfecting their technical skills with individual feedback and support. Maintain a safe, professional, and welcoming learning environment for all students. Monitor and assess student progress through evaluations, practical assessments, and attendance. Stay current with industry trends, products, and techniques to ensure students receive up-to-date education. Maintain accurate student attendance and grading records. Collaborate with school staff and administrators to ensure program success and compliance with state and accreditation requirements.
