Whether you're fresh out of beauty school or an experienced stylist looking to sharpen your skills before stepping back into a full book, this role was designed for someone who takes their craft seriously. Ihloff Salon and Day Spa's Associate Stylist program is a structured, immersive path from cosmetology license to a thriving chair — one of the most intentional stylist training programs in Tulsa. You'll work side-by-side with Elite-level stylists, sharpen your technical skills through hands-on education and model work, and build the habits and mindset that define a successful long-term career in this industry. Full-time, open availability required, including evenings and weekends. What you'll do Work alongside assigned Elite-level stylists throughout their workday, staying present, engaged, and one step ahead at all times Deliver elevated shampoo experiences for every guest, including scalp and hand massage rituals that add genuine value to their visit Assist with color application, processing checks, foiling, and VoMor extension removal Consistently ensure thorough, high-quality guest care every time Manage guest care touchpoints: verifying tickets, building retail product recommendation baskets, and prebooking appointments Arrive up to 30 minutes before your stylist's start time to prepare stations and complete assigned tasks Keep the floor running smoothly — stocking beverages, sweeping, setting stations, and proactively filling gaps without being asked Check in daily with your stylist and associate team to assess the day's books and prepare for any challenges Participate in continued education, model work, and mentorship from Aveda educators to develop technical and soft skills Who you are A learner first: you approach every shift as an opportunity to grow, stay open to feedback, and never stop improving Proactive and present: you anticipate what's needed, take initiative without being prompted, and stay engaged on the floor A genuine team player: you show up for your stylist, your fellow associates, and the salon as a whole with a positive attitude Detail-oriented and consistent: you follow systems, complete checklists, and hold yourself to a high standard every single shift
