About Us:
Union Street Barber Shop is growing! We've built a loyal following as a one-chair neighborhood shop, and now we're expanding into a two-to-three-chair shop. We pride ourselves on sharp cuts, great conversations, and a welcoming, clean environment. If you're a passionate barber looking to grow your clientele in a collaborative, high-energy space, we want you on the next chair.
The Opportunity:
We operate on a commission model, so your earning potential is directly tied to your skill and work ethic. We provide the chairs, the foot traffic, the marketing support, and the premium shop environment—you bring the talent and the hustle.
What You'll Do:
Provide high-quality hair cuts, fades, tapers, and beard trims. Consult with clients to understand their style preferences and recommend the best cuts or products for them. Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized workstation in compliance with Pennsylvania State Board regulations. Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients to encourage repeat business. Contribute to the shop's welcoming, positive, and professional atmosphere.
What We're Looking For:
Active Pennsylvania Barber License (Required) . Proficiency in modern and classic barbering techniques (clippers, shears, and straight razors). A reliable, punctual professional with excellent customer service and communication skills. A team player who is excited about helping Union Street Barber Shop expand. An existing local clientele is a major plus, but we will actively help you fill your chair.
What We Provide:
A competitive commission split with high earning potential. You keep 100% of your tips. All essential shop infrastructure (barber chairs, stations, backbar products, towels, and utilities). Marketing and booking platform support to help build your book of business. A clean, modern, and respectful work environment.
Pay:
From $42.00 per hour
