Job Description

Overview:
The Cosmetology Program Director serves as a resource for Cosmetology students during their clinical rotations, ensuring they gain the practical skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career in cosmetology. Program Director will oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of the cosmetology curriculum; develop statewide or institutional standards; ensure compliance with
SACS, NC
State Board of Cosmetic Art, and other accrediting bodies.
Essential Functions:
Provide supervision and hands-on instruction to cosmetology instructors and students during their clinical rotation. Demonstrate various cosmetology techniques and procedures, including, hair cutting, styling, coloring, skincare, and nail services. Ensure instructors and students understand and follow industry best practices, safety protocols, and sanitation standards along with following the policies and procedures of Southeastern College and the program. Monitor instructor and students' performance. Assist instructors and students in managing client consultations, recommending appropriate treatments, and addressing client needs. Demonstrate professional behavior and ethical standards in all interactions with clients, students and colleagues. Stay current with advancements in cosmetology techniques and industry trends. Contribute to the development and improvement of cosmetology education program.
Qualifications:
Must have an educational background in Cosmetology and hold a current South Carolina Cosmetology license. A Cosmetology Instructor license is preferred.
