Hair Salon Assistant

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Salon Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the beauty industry and a desire to learn and grow within a salon environment. As a Salon Assistant, you will support our stylists and enhance the overall client experience by providing exceptional service and assistance. Duties Assist stylists with various services, including hair styling. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the salon, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and ready for use. Greet clients warmly and provide them with information about services offered. Help manage appointments using Square or similar scheduling software. Support upselling of products and services to enhance client satisfaction. Assist in applying hair extensions, eyelash extensions, or other specialized services as needed. Provide mentoring to junior staff or interns in salon procedures and customer service best practices. Stay updated on the latest trends in cosmetology, barbering, and beauty techniques. Requirements A background in cosmetology or relevant beauty education is preferred. Experience in hair styling, nail care, makeup application, or barbering is a plus. Familiarity with Square scheduling software is advantageous. Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer service. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Willingness to learn new techniques and stay current with industry trends.
