Full Job Description Job Summary Sahvah Beauty:
Supply & Salon is seeking a talented and professional Braider / Microloc / Natural Hair Stylist to join our salon team. This opportunity is best for a stylist who already has clientele and is looking for a professional salon space to continue growing. Sahvah Beauty has consistent traditional loc and natural hair clients, beauty supply traffic, and local visibility, but we are specifically looking for someone who can also bring their own clientele, promote their services, and help build momentum in the salon. In this role, you will provide quality braiding, microloc, loc, and/or natural hair services while delivering a welcoming and professional client experience. The ideal candidate is reliable, clean, skilled, customer-service oriented, and comfortable working in a beauty supply and salon environment. Duties Create braids, microlocs, loc styles, and natural hairstyles tailored to each client's preferences and hair type Provide consultations to understand each client's desired look and recommend suitable styling options Perform services such as braids, protective styles, retwists, starter locs, two-strand twists, microlocs, Sisterlock-style services, and natural hair styling based on skill set Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness throughout the salon area, station, and tools Use Square Appointments for scheduling, client records, checkout, and retail transactions as needed Provide excellent customer service and maintain a welcoming, professional atmosphere Communicate clearly with clients and staff regarding appointments, timing, services, and expectations Recommend appropriate hair care products, styling items, and accessories when helpful to the client Promote your services and help grow your schedule within the salon Requirements Existing clientele strongly preferred Experience with braiding, microlocs, loc maintenance, natural hair styling, or protective styles Portfolio, photos, or social media showing your work preferred Strong communication and customer service skills Knowledge of sanitation standards and best practices for maintaining a clean work environment Reliable, professional, and able to manage appointments responsibly Experience with Square Appointments or similar salon scheduling software preferred Ability to educate clients on basic hair care routines and product recommendations Saturday availability preferred Cosmetology, barbering, or applicable license preferred where required Pay / Work Structure This opportunity may be structured as commission, booth rent, daily rate, or another flexible arrangement depending on experience, availability, and clientele.
