Your creativity and knowledge of the curly cutting techniques as well as the nuances of curly colouring techniques should leave guests confident in your ability to execute a variety of curly looks. Duties Provide expert curly hair styling, including cutting, shaping, and defining curls with techniques tailored to individual textures. Perform professional hair coloring services, utilizing color theory principles to achieve vibrant, natural-looking results that complement each client's unique features. Apply specialized treatments such as bond builders, hardwater, hydration, and the like. Use salon software to schedule appointments, set goals and streamline daily operations efficiently. Educate clients on proper hair care routines, product recommendations, and styling tips for maintaining healthy curls at home. Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools and workstations regularly to ensure a safe environment for everyone. Assist with retail sales by recommending appropriate products for curly hair maintenance and upselling additional services to enhance client satisfaction. Support front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, managing appointments, and ensuring smooth salon flow through excellent communication skills. Mentor junior stylists and team members in curl-specific techniques and customer service excellence to foster a collaborative atmosphere. Experience Proven experience as a hairstylist specializing in curly hair styling and coloring; certification in cosmetology or barbering is required. Knowledge of advanced coloring techniques including balayage, highlights, lowlights, root touch ups, blonding, and creative color applications aligned with color theory principles. knowledge of advanced cutting techniques, with the ability to cut curly hair in a variety of conditions Familiarity with salon management software Strong understanding of sanitation protocols specific to the beauty industry to ensure a hygienic workspace. Experience working with hair extensions, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and nail care is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate clients effectively about their hair health and styling options. Ability to perform retail math calculations for upselling products confidently while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
