Full-time, W-2. 50/50 commission split. About The Hair Gallery The Hair Gallery is an established full-service salon in the heart of Rosslyn, Arlington. We're a busy, welcoming salon with a loyal clientele, and we're looking for an experienced stylist to join our team and grow their book with us. The Role The Hair Gallery is seeking a full-service hairstylist with strong skills in cutting, color, and styling. The salon provides products, stations, tools, booking, and marketing support, so you can focus on your clients and your work. This position is well suited to an experienced stylist with an established clientele who wants a stable, professional environment to continue building their business. What You'll Do Provide full-service appointments including cuts, color, highlights and balayage, blowouts, and styling for a diverse clientele Consult with clients on their goals and recommend appropriate services and at-home care Maintain a clean, professional station that meets salon and Virginia sanitation standards Build and retain a loyal client base through quality work and rebooking Stay current on techniques and trends through ongoing education Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment What We're Looking For Active Virginia cosmetology license (required) 5+ years of professional, behind-the-chair experience Strong, well-rounded skills across cutting, color, and styling An existing clientele or following strongly preferred Professionalism, reliability, and excellent client-service skills Availability for a full-time schedule including Saturdays (salon hours: Mon to Fri 9:30 to 7, Sat 9 to 5; closed Sundays) Compensation and How It Works 50/50 commission split on all service revenue W-2 employee, with taxes withheld, no chair rental, and no added fees The salon provides your station, professional products, backbar, and tools, so you don't supply your own Front-desk booking and client scheduling handled for you Why Stylists Love It Here Products and education: professional product provided, plus continuing education and classes Marketing support: we promote our stylists on social media and help bring new clients to your chair A supportive, professional team and an established Rosslyn location with steady foot traffic
