Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a beautician that will provide hair and grooming services to our residents in a long-term care facility. The role focuses on helping seniors maintain their confidence, dignity, and quality of life by providing personalized salon services in a compassionate, patient, and accessible environment.
Duties Hair Care:
Provide hair washing, cutting, styling, perms, and color treatments tailored to senior clients.
General Grooming:
Trimming beards and eyebrows.
Scheduling:
Communicate with nursing staff about resident showering schedules.
Resident Assistance:
Transport or guide residents to and from the beauty shop and adapt services to accommodate mobility or cognitive challenges.
Sanitation:
Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe salon workspace in strict adherence to healthcare and infection control regulations.
Requirements Licensing:
Must be a graduate of an accredited cosmetology school with a valid, active cosmetology or barber license.
Soft Skills:
Requires high levels of empathy, patience, and effective communication to build meaningful relationships with elderly clients.
Physical & Technical Stamina:
Ability to stand for long periods and cater to clients with varying physical abilities or special needs.
Pay:
From $18.00 per hour
