Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and motivated Hair Stylist Assistant to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will support our talented stylists by preparing clients, assisting with various hair services, and ensuring a seamless salon experience. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in hair styling, customer service, and salon operations while working in a lively, growth-oriented environment. Responsibilities Assist senior stylists with hair styling, blowouts, and finishing touches to ensure client satisfaction. Support with hair extensions application and removal. Maintain salon cleanliness and sanitation standards following industry protocols. Operate salon software systems for appointment scheduling and client management. Provide excellent customer service by greeting clients at the front desk, managing check-ins and check-outs, and addressing client inquiries professionally. Assist with retail sales of hair care products, makeup, and other salon merchandise. Support store management with inventory organization, retail math calculations, and store upkeep. Qualifications Passion for the beauty industry with a desire to learn advanced hair styling techniques including color theory and straight razor work. Basic knowledge of cosmetology practices; Aveda experience is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members. Ability to work with all hair textures including curly and super curly hair. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of sanitation. Experience or interest in retail sales, and client retention strategies. Familiarity with salon software is advantageous but not required; training will be provided. A positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills to mentor new team members and foster a welcoming atmosphere.
