Full Job Description Overview:
As a Health Club Attendant, you will often be the first to interact with our guests and members, your friendly, professional, and enthusiastic manner directly enhances the value of our service. To succeed you must be fitness-minded, able to anticipate the needs of our guests and members and eager to respond appropriately. Your ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks combined with your positive interaction with members and guests will ensure our success. The Health Club Attendant reports to the Health Club Manager. You will be required to work a preset schedule as set forth by the Health Club Manager. Mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays are all possible.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions Greet hotel guests and club members, facilitate sign-in and touring procedures, and direct customers to appropriate areas of the club. Maintain and communicate to our guests and prospects a thorough knowledge of the Health Club's facilities and services. Answer phones, direct calls, book and confirm appointments. Professionally present and sell Health Club products and services. Provide in-depth facility tours as needed Document and post sales transactions, process payments and credits, and maintain cash bank. Maintain the orderliness, cleanliness, and guest supplies of the locker rooms. Attend to the fitness room as needed, demonstrating equipment, and answering general questions for guests and members. Responsible for practicing, managing, and promoting our Mission and Values so that it becomes an intricate part of the everyday operation. Completes any duties or projects assigned by the Health Club Manager. Required Job Knowledge and Skills Previous reception, phone and guest service experience preferred. Healthy, fitness-minded, knowledgeable, and comfortable with the fitness and wellness environments a plus. Strong organizational skills, basic computer experience and the ability to multi-task. Cash handling experience. Supportive Functions In addition to the performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the Health Club Manager based upon the requirements of the hotel. Maintain regular attendance in compliance with hotel standards. Adhere to hotel rules and regulations for safe and efficient operations. Foster a culture of trust and respect.

Qualifications:
Qualifications Experience:
Hospitality experience preferred. Experience working with diverse cultures and backgrounds preferred.
Education:
High School diploma, general education degree or international equivalent preferred. CPR Certification recommended
Language Skills:
Fluency of the English language is strongly preferred. Ability to understand and compose instructions, memos, and short correspondence.

Lifting & Strength:
Must have upper body strength to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift. Requires finger, hand, and upper body dexterity to push, pull, and move levers, equipment, and furniture. Must be able to work with arms raised above head for extended periods.
Carrying & Moving:
Regularly carrying, lifting, or pulling items weighing up to 50 lbs.
