Job Description

Do you love helping others? Does bringing a smile to someone's face make your day? Looking for something part-time that you can work around your schedule while adding extra income? If you are a Licensed Beautician and are looking for enrichment in your life, this position is for you. We are seeking a qualified Licensed Beautician to provide weekly services to our residents, approximately 2 days per week, as an independent contractor. Flexible hours. Previous experience with the elderly preferred but not required.

NOTE:

There is no booth fee. As residents are on a set income, example of fee for services for residents is: Shampoo only

$5 Shampoo/style
$15 Haircut
$18 Shampoo/roller set
$15 Color/Style
$35 Licensed Beautician /

Cosmetologist Responsibilities:

Maintain sanitary conditions in beauty shop consistent with state and local regulations applicable to beautician/barber services and long-term nursing care Styles hair consistent with residents' request and preference Experience with both women's and men's styling needs Flexible schedule working 2 days a week, appox 9am-5pm Supplies chemicals to achieve permanents, relaxers and color in a continuously competent manner Promotes friendly and positive atmosphere in delivery of beauty parlor services Preserves safe environment for residents and staff in the Beauty Shop Has knowledge of chemicals and processes used in the service Identifies and responds in a timely and sensitive manner to the needs of the residents receiving beauty services Maintains beauty parlor log for residents being serviced Never leaves a resident unattended Beautician is self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision. Dependable, organized, flexible, and cooperative in fulfilling role obligation. Maintains a professional appearance, is reliable, punctual, and demonstrates a cooperative manner towards residents, families, and all members of the healthcare team. Licensed Beautician /

Cosmetologist Requirements:

Current Missouri beautician/cosmetology license Proof of Liability Insurance Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Prior experience as a beautician or barber Prior experience in a healthcare facility preferred but not required If our Beautician position is for you, please apply today!
