Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Kennel Attendant at our premier dog resort and spa, where your passion for animals and dedication to exceptional pet care will shine. In this vital role, you will ensure the well-being, safety, and happiness of our canine guests by providing top-quality kennel services, engaging in pet handling, and supporting a clean and comfortable environment. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a positive experience for both pets and their owners, making every day rewarding and fulfilling. Responsibilities Provide attentive care to dogs staying at the facility, including feeding, administering medications, and monitoring health status Maintain cleanliness of kennels, common areas, and grooming stations to ensure a hygienic environment Handle dogs safely using proper animal restraint techniques while demonstrating gentle and confident animal handling skills Assist with pet grooming services such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming to keep pets comfortable and looking their best Support pet sitting duties by engaging with dogs through play, walks, and enrichment activities to promote mental and physical well-being Observe dogs for signs of illness or distress and communicate any concerns to veterinary staff or management promptly Assist with training exercises or basic obedience activities as directed by trainers or veterinary professionals Skills Strong animal handling skills with the ability to safely restrain dogs of various sizes and temperaments Experience in dog training or veterinary settings is highly desirable Knowledge of pet grooming techniques and pet sitting best practices Familiarity with veterinary assistant or veterinary technician procedures is a plus Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for moving supplies or assisting with larger animals Attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness, safety protocols, and accurate record keeping Join us in creating a safe, caring, and joyful environment where pets feel loved and owners trust us completely.
