Duties Support senior stylists with hair cutting, styling, coloring, and finishing techniques Assist clients with consultations to understand their hair goals and preferences Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness across all salon stations and tools Manage appointment scheduling using salon software such as MINDBODY or similar platforms Perform retail sales of hair care products, cosmetics, and accessories through upselling techniques Help with front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, checking in appointments, and answering inquiries Support store management with inventory organization, product merchandising, and daily operational tasks Assist with specialized services such as eyelash extensions, nail care, or hair threading as needed Participate in ongoing mentoring sessions to refine your skills in hair extensions, color theory, and barbering techniques Experience Previous experience or training in cosmetology or barbering is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential Familiarity with salon software systems like MINDBODY or similar platforms is a plus Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety protocols within a salon environment Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members Basic understanding of retail math for upselling products effectively Experience with hair styling techniques including blowouts, braiding, or straight razor shaves is advantageous Willingness to participate in ongoing education on topics such as color theory, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and makeup application This role offers an energetic environment where your passion for beauty can flourish!
