HARLINGEN AREA
•Providers (also known as Health Care Providers) refer to a person or organization that provides healthcare service to individuals. There are many different types of Care Providers who offer a range of services - from primary and hospital care to diagnostic, rehabilitative, preventative, and palliative care.
Responsibilities:
Consult with patients, discuss their health care needs, and offer advice. Diagnose illnesses and offer prognoses as required. Provide a medical service or perform a procedure depending on the patient's needs. Prescribe medication and/or provide the best course of action. Prepare health care plans as needed. Determine whether a patient needs to consult with other specialists as part of their health care plan. Attend ongoing training and courses to advance knowledge and learn about any new developments in their discipline. Act in a professional manner at all times and treat patients with compassion and consideration. Comply with local, state, and federal laws and regulations to provide safe health care services.
