The Opportunity A well-established, expanding salon in the heart of San Marcos is adding a dedicated Headspa Specialist to its team. We serve a robust and loyal clientele — spanning college students, local residents, retirement community members, and guests who travel specifically for our services — and are now bringing a highly requested wellness offering to life. The Role As our Headspa Specialist, you will be the foundation of a new department built on intentional care, hair health education, and phased treatment planning. You will operate within a structured training and certification process — covering technique, product knowledge, and brand standards — before moving into full client-facing services. This is not a role for someone looking to clock in and out. We are looking for someone who wants to build something. The position also includes cross-training in administrative functions — lead nurturing, client check-in and check-out, and shared facility responsibilities — ensuring seamless integration with the broader salon operation. Cross-pollination between departments is a feature, not an afterthought. Our stylists bring an established book of clients primed for headspa services, and we expect our headspa specialist to collaborate actively in that bridge. What You'll Do Deliver Japanese/American fusion headspa treatments with precision, care, and light massage techniques to ensure the full relaxing experience. Design and implement phased treatment plans tailored to each client's scalp and hair healthgoals Educate clients on hair health, product use, and maintenance between appointments Build and retain a loyal clientele invested in both the service and the brand Collaborate with salon stylists to identify and serve shared clients — especially those withcolor history, extensions, hormonal hair changes, or thinning concerns Complete structured training and all required technique, product, and brand checkoffs Support front-desk operations including lead nurturing, check-in/check-out, and scheduling Contribute to shared facility upkeep as part of a cohesive team environment For licensed estheticians: bring additional services of high client interest to the table forpotential integration Who You Are A licensed cosmetologist or licensed esthetician in the state of Texas Experienced in Japanese or American fusion headspa techniques Genuinely passionate about scalp health, hair wellness, and client education Skilled at building retained relationships — clients who come back because of you and the brand Experienced working with diverse client profiles: hair thinning, hormonal changes, extensions, color and bleach history Adaptable — able to move between independent service delivery and team collaboration with ease Motivated by growth, structure, and the satisfaction of seeing a client's progress over time Committed to holding yourself to a high standard and representing a brand built onprofessionalism and trust Why This Opportunity Step into a warm audience, no building from scratch; our clientele is already asking for this W2 employment with an hourly base rate and a bonus structure tied to services completed Clear training pathway with defined checkoffs so you know exactly what success looks like A collaborative team of established stylists invested in shared client outcomes A clientele as diverse as San Marcos itself — students, retirees, professionals, and regional visitors Room to grow the headspa department and, for estheticians, potential to expand service offerings based on client demand An environment that takes brand, quality, and the client experience seriously at every touchpoint If this sounds like the role you've been looking for, we want to hear from you.
