In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, maintaining, and laundering costumes and wardrobe items to ensure they remain show ready. Your expertise will help bring characters to life on stage in live performances by ensuring all wardrobe elements are flawless, functional, and ready for use. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and technical skill are essential for success. Responsibilities Prepare, organize, and maintain costumes onsite before and after show Help with operational needs during show Wash and dry costumes in accordance with operational procedures Maintain wardrobe inventory and ensure costume pieces are accounted for Follow established operational procedures and guidelines Follow safety protocols when handling chemicals or equipment related to garment care and help maintain a clean and organized workspace Experience and Skills Minimum 1 year experience in theatrical costume and wardrobe operations Experience with large scale laundry and basic sewing techniques Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to follow directions and work independently Ability to remain focused during tasks and backstage operations Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory management Prior experience working in live theatre environments is a plus Additional Requirements Because wardrobe staff are entrusted with valuable costumes, production assets, and access to backstage areas, all candidates must pass a background check prior to engagement. We're looking for people who take pride in being dependable, trustworthy, and professional. If you're organized, responsible, and enjoy working with costumes, we'd love to hear from you. Schedule & Flexibility This position is offered as a 1099 independent contractor role. It's ideal for individuals looking to supplement their income while maintaining another job, freelance work, or personal commitments. We are looking for someone who can commit to two to three nights a week. Shifts typically run during afternoon/evening performance hours with laundry concluding around 11:00 PM (occasional events extend later). Scheduling is provided in advance, and we work to offer flexibility where possible. What You'll Need Valid state or government issued ID -must be or be over 21 Reliable transportation Ability to work two evening shifts per week Join Cirqueit Productions and help us keep the show running smoothly-one costume at a time.
