As Uniform Attendant at The Hand & The Eye, you play an essential role in supporting the presentation, confidence, and readiness of our team. This position ensures that all team members are properly outfitted, polished, and prepared before stepping onto the floor, helping uphold the visual standards and professionalism that define the guest experience.This role manages uniform distribution, inventory, care, and cleanliness while also supporting basic alterations and fit adjustments. The Uniform Attendant works closely with Guest Services, Operations, and department leaders to ensure uniforms are available, well-maintained, and appropriate for each role and shift. Attention to detail, organization, and pride in craftsmanship are critical to success in this role.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in uniform services, wardrobe, costume, or apparel support preferredAlteration and sewing experience requiredStrong attention to detail and organization skillsAbility to manage inventory and track materials accuratelyComfortable working in a fast-paced, hospitality-driven environmentProfessional, discreet, and service-oriented demeanorAbility to stand, bend, lift, and perform light physical tasks as requiredKey Responsibilities:
Uniform Distribution & Inventory ManagementIssue, track, and collect uniforms for team members across departmentsMaintain accurate inventory records for uniforms, accessories, and related suppliesEnsure uniforms are available in appropriate sizes and quantities for daily operationsSupport onboarding and offboarding processes related to uniform issuance and returnUniform Care, Presentation & CleanlinessInspect uniforms regularly to ensure cleanliness, quality, and proper presentationIdentify items in need of repair or replacement and escalate as appropriateMaintain organized, clean, and efficient uniform storage areasAlterations & Fit SupportPerform basic alterations and fit adjustments such as hemming, simple tailoring, and minor repairsAssess uniform fit and recommend adjustments to ensure comfort, mobility, and professional appearanceCoordinate with external vendors when advanced tailoring or repairs are requiredSupport consistency in uniform fit and appearance across all guest-facing roles recblid 714hum6wdl3z77bodh0scetmkmwn23Similar jobs in Chicago, IL
