Costume Shop Positions

Children's Theatre Company is hiring for multiple Costume Shop positions for the 2026-2027 season. We are seeking candidates with experience in costume shop operations, costume crafts, dyeing, painting, fabric modification, accessory construction, and related theatrical costume work.

Current openings include:

Costume Assistant A seasonal, benefits eligible position scheduled for 40 weeks of part-time work, 32 hours per week. This role supports the daily operation of the Costume Shop, including shopping, tracking expenditures, maintaining show documentation, assisting with schedules, and supporting the Costume Director. Starting pay range is $24.00 to $26.00 per hour. Costume Crafts Artisan A benefits eligible position guaranteed a minimum of 40 weeks of full-time work each season and covered by a collective bargaining agreement with IATSE Local 13, AFL-CIO. This role produces costume accessories including hats, jewelry, masks, footwear modifications, gloves, belts, purses, boot tops, and related craft pieces. Minimum starting wage is $25.75 per hour. Costume Painter/Dyer A seasonal, benefits eligible position averaging approximately 30 to 32 weeks of full-time work in a typical season and covered by a collective bargaining agreement with IATSE Local 13, AFL-CIO. This role focuses on fabric modification and surface design using dye, paint, adhesives, distressing, aging, and other decorative techniques. Minimum starting wage is $25.75 per hour.
