Job Description

Overview The Ice Rink Attendant is responsible for the administrative operations of the ice arena. They will handle monetary transactions at the rink and provide excellent customer service to all guests at the Boss Ice Arena. The rink attendant will report to the Ice Rink Director. This role will pay an hourly rate of $16.00.

Responsibilities Enters and processes all sales via cash, debit, and credit card transactions using a cash register or other point-of-sale system in a retail environment with efficiency and accuracy. Balance the cash register, making change, and recording purchases. Serves customers in a friendly and efficient manner. Adheres to cash handling policies and procedures. Maintains excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, and management. Know and understand the products that are offered. Scoreboard/microphone operation. Ensures that all work areas are clean. Other duties and tasks as assigned by the manager. Qualifications Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner that focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment. Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment. Must show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance. Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of heavy objects. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently and as a productive member of a team. Capable of working a flexible schedule and extended hours, including but not limited to working early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays in addition to traditional business hours. Must be able to work in a loud noise environment at times. Basic understanding/willingness to learn hockey rules and regulations. Proven ability to work well with all levels of management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
