Beach Rental Attendants must have excellent verbal communication and organizational skills, and should be friendly and provide superior customer service. The primary responsibility of the Beach Rental Attendant is to provide superior guest service through renting beach chairs, umbrellas, toys, surfboards, paddleboards, teach surf lessons. Beach Attendants must also be able to lift up to 40 lbs. and be able to work outdoors in extreme heat and humidity. The job requires flexible shifts including weekends and holidays and the workweek will average 40 hours. Time off requests must be made during interview process; time off requests will be considered but not guaranteed. Last day is flexible, but must be determined during the hiring process.

Beach Hut Attendant Expectations and Responsibilities:

Provide outstanding, consistent customer service when interacting with guests. Guests are our #1 priority. Properly maintain all equipment to the standards you will be trained on. Set up and break down of daily reserved beach appliances Selling/setting up walk up beach equipment request. Set up and Break down of reserved beach games/toys Placing and serving of placed F&B orders to club members reserving beach equipment for the day. Play an integral role as an ambassador to the Fripp Island Resort. Complete all work in accordance with our safety standards at the resort. All other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:

Applicants should have completed at least one year of college. Preference is given to students in recreation or education related studies. Strong ability to communicate to the public and give instructions CPR certifications preferred Prior experience with customer service preferred Ability to work outside in hot humid weather

Essential Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds across short-medium distance Capable of working consecutive hours without sitting down. Able to perform physically demanding duties outdoors while enduring extreme heat and humidity. Must be able to work on site due to daily needs of the job requirements.

Uniforms:

You will be issued uniform shirts. Belts and tennis shoes are required, but not provided. Sandals may be worn as long as they have a heel strap. Nametags are issued and must be worn at all times. A maximum of one simple ring on each hand is allowed. One bracelet or wristwatch is allowed on each arm. Any body piercings must be removed or covered if visible.
