Head Drama Director/Building Principal
REQUIREMENTS
Education Level:
No formal education required.
Experience Desired:
Experience and/or training in costume techniques. Sewing skills.
Other Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication. Positive human relations skills with adults and students. Strong skills in detailed and accurate work. Good organizational skills. Patience and a positive attitude toward people are essential. Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision. Able to work irregular/flexible hours.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires constant hand-eye/mind-eye coordination. Walking, sitting, standing and talking are constantly required.
Clearances:
Employment is contingent upon a Criminal Justice Fingerprint/ground Clearance, paid for by the applicant.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
  • Review script for costume plot.
  • Research costumes of the period.
  • Design costumes for each character.
  • Meet with students to get measurements and size.
  • Locate and assemble costumes.
  • Meet with students for costume fitting.
  • Alter costumes.
  • Mend and repair costumes throughout run.
  • Sort, collect, clean, store or return costumes.
  • Receive guidance and follow directions given by the Head Drama Director.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Drama Director/Building Principal.
