Located in Keystone, only three miles from Mt Rushmore and 20 miles from Rapid City, our museum features over 100 wax figures from United States presidential history all displayed in lifelike dioramas. As a wax museum associate you will be integral to delivering an engaging and memorable experience for our visitors. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting guests, selling tickets to the museum experience, and showing guests how to use our audio wand tour to enhance their self-guided museum experience. Additionally, you will be responsible for using a point of sale cash register to sell a large variety of merchandise from our museum gift shop. The National Presidential Wax Museum is open during the summer from 8:30am until 8:00pm. Typically most shifts are either an opening shift (8:00am - 2:30pm) or a closing shift (2:00pm - 8:30pm). However, additional shifts may be added as needed to accommodate business volume.

Other responsibilities include:

Vacuuming and general cleaning Cleaning bathrooms Receiving inventory and stocking shelves Talking with customers about presidential history and the history of the wax museum Watering plants and maintaining a clean parking lot Maintaining clean museum displays and sets Restocking and merchandising shelves Qualifications Strong customer service and communication skills Experience in retail sales and cash handling Proficiency in basic math and retail math Ability to collaborate effectively with sales team Familiarity with POS systems and cash registers Bilingual skills are a plus Previous experience in merchandising or product demonstrations is advantageous Join us this summer to create lasting memories for our guests!
