In this vital role, you will support the costume department by managing wardrobe needs for productions, ensuring costumes are maintained, organized, and ready for use. Responsibilities Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of costumes through dry cleaning and laundry processes to ensure garments are pristine and ready for use Operate sewing machines to perform repairs, alterations, or customizations on costumes as needed Support garment construction by assisting with sewing, fitting, and adjustments under supervision Organize and catalog costumes, accessories, and wardrobe supplies for easy access during rehearsals and performances Collaborate closely with costume designers and wardrobe supervisors to fulfill specific costume requirements Maintain accurate records of laundry cycles, repairs, and inventory levels Provide excellent customer service by assisting performers with costume fittings and addressing wardrobe-related needs promptly Skills Proficiency in dry cleaning and laundry techniques to properly care for delicate fabrics and costumes Experience operating sewing machines with confidence and precision Knowledge of garment construction principles and sewing techniques for repairs or modifications Strong organizational skills to manage wardrobe inventory efficiently Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements, adjustments, and inventory tracking Excellent customer service skills to assist performers professionally and courteously Attention to detail in maintaining costume quality, cleanliness, and organization Join us in creating memorable productions by ensuring every costume is perfect!
