Role Overview As a Cremationist at After.com, you'll play a vital role in ensuring respectful, professional care for every decedent in our care. This includes physically performing cremations, maintaining a safe and organized facility, and ensuring that every detail — from paperwork to equipment maintenance — meets the highest standards of accuracy and compassion. This is an , in-office role based in our Mesa, AZ location. While shifts will usually fall within standard business hours, occasional weekend shifts will be required as needed. Willing to discuss part-time or full-time hours. What You'll Do Physically facilitate cremations, following all safety and regulatory procedures Accurately complete required paperwork and obtain necessary signatures Coordinate the return of cremated remains, personal effects, and documents to families Maintain refrigeration, crematory, and urn locker logs Wear and utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required Manage inventory and stock supplies Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the crematory so it is always presentable Collect, sort, and process medical devices for recycling Package and mail cremated remains as needed Support during state and county inspections Perform regular inspection, cleaning, and maintenance of crematory equipment You're A Strong Fit If You Have… An active, current Arizona Cremationist License (required) An active, current Arizona Funeral Director License (preferred) An active, current Arizona Embalmer's License (preferred) Ability to push, pull, and maneuver 200+ pounds Ability to lift 75 pounds waist-high for 20 seconds Ability to remain professional and composed in emotional situations Strong multitasking and prioritization skills Ability to follow detailed instructions via phone, text, and email This Role Is Ideal For Someone Who Is… Dependable and reliable Detail-oriented and attentive to accuracy Task-driven and efficient, able to meet critical deadlines Hard working and dedicated to consistently high standards Comfortable working in high-pressure environments What You'll Find Here A thoughtful, mission-led team focused on doing right by families A calm, respectful office culture with clear systems and support Ready to do meaningful work — and do it well?
