The Role We're looking for a Natural Organic Reduction (NOR) Operator to join our Las Vegas team. This role is most comparable to a Crematory Operator. You will primarily focus on processing the soil produced through our NOR process and transforming it into family-ready soil by operating size-reduction equipment. You'll also support facility operations and play an important role in ensuring every family receives the highest quality experience. Responsibilities Operate size-reduction equipment safely and effectively. Ensure the final soil product consistently meets Earth's quality standards. Assist with day-to-day NOR facility operations, including soil testing and vessel troubleshooting. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe facility environment. Monitor inventory and supply levels and work with the NOR Facility Manager to maintain adequate stock. Support compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, including funeral laws, environmental regulations, zoning requirements, fire codes, and
OSHA/EHS
standards. Embrace a continuous improvement mindset by staying current on industry trends, technologies, and research to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the NOR process. Collaborate with members of the Operations, Care, and Sales teams to ensure families receive an exceptional experience from start to finish. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in a funeral home or crematory environment as a crematory operator, embalmer, removal technician, or similar role. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. A hands-on, proactive approach and willingness to work in a physically demanding environment. Excitement about helping build a more sustainable future for death care. Nice to Have Current forklift operation certification is not required to apply but will be necessary for the role (we will provide funding and support for obtaining this certification) Working Conditions & Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding role. Individuals with claustrophobia, asthma, or a fear of heights may find certain aspects of the position challenging. The role requires the ability to: Lift and move 50 pounds Stand, climb ladders, and work on equipment in tight or elevated spaces Wear required PPE (respirator, gloves, etc.) Work in warm or cold environments
