We are seeking an experienced Esthetician to join our team. The gentle and soothing touch of our Estheticians assures our guests that they are in expert care. Certified professionals, our Estheticians administer a variety of facial treatments with warm and gracious service, are knowledgeable on trends and protocols and always ensure the Spa's high quality standards are met.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares facial treatment equipment and supplies daily. Prepares and maintains the treatment area daily. Follow all safety, hygiene and cleanliness protocols at all times. Sanitizes all instruments in accordance with California State law. Administers facial treatment and superfluous hair removal for the guests. Prepares and maintains the treatment rooms according to spa policy. Assists in maintaining the overall cleanliness of the spa by picking up soiled towels, used cups, dishes, etc. Prepares and maintains the treatment area daily. Maintains inventory of all facial treatment supplies and linens in the treatment rooms. Submits inventory list of supplies to the Spa Captain on a weekly basis. Regularly monitors locker rooms when available. Notifies Spa Director or Spa Supervisor if equipment is broken. Participates in cross training to provide all services within the skin care area. Maintains a passing score on treatment inspections. Greets every guest in a friendly, courteous and professional manner in an effort to ensure a pleasant visit for each guest. Promotes and sells products by using the prescription pad. Uses only specific amounts of professional products given. Completes 2 treatments a month at set rate given by the Spa Director to front of the house associates. Regularly checks the appointment schedule after every treatment. After each treatment cleans the treatment room unless otherwise instructed. Maintains the overall cleanliness and neatness of the facility. Provides a daily report of treatments performed and submits the report to the Spa Director for signature. Performs special projects delegated by the Spa Captain and/or Spa Director. Continuously follows all spa policies. Attends daily shift meeting for team building. Assists in other departments when necessary. All other duties as assigned by the Supervisor. Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by the Hotel from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Associates with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the Hotel. Upon employment, all associates are required to fully comply with the Hotel rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of the Hotel facilities. QUALIFICATIONS

Able to use the equipment and special product lines of the Esthetics Department. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must be proficient in all components of esthetics, i.e. Anatomy, physiology, skin disorders, medical terminology, etc. Must be proficient in all facets of proper skin care, e.g. Chemistry, masks, packs, cleansing, massage superfluous hair removal, etc. Must be patient, an effective and courteous listener and able to show empathy. Must be an energetic and enthusiastic individual. Able to work under pressure with ease. Is knowledgeable and up to date on the latest developments pertinent to the department and becomes well versed and trained in their application. Must have a desire to learn new techniques in the spa industry. The ability to write clear and concise reports, i.e. Daily treatment reports. Ability to speak effectively with customers in a friendly and pleasant manner. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Meets legal age requirements for the position. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities. Must have a high school diploma. Must have a minimum of two years experience as an Esthetician and one year spa experience. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

The pay scale for this position is $16.90 to $43 per hour. This is the pay range for this position that the Hotel reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual wage rates will be based on a number of factors, such as experience, type of hotel experience, and education.
