Duties Assist with the preparation and setup of funeral services, including arranging floral displays, seating, and signage to create a welcoming atmosphere Support families by providing compassionate bereavement support and guiding them through the funeral process with sensitivity and professionalism Coordinate logistics for funeral events, ensuring all elements run smoothly from start to finish Perform heavy lifting tasks such as transporting caskets, equipment, and floral arrangements safely and efficiently Maintain cleanliness and organization of funeral home facilities, chapels, and transportation vehicles Support sales efforts by explaining service options to families and assisting with product selections when appropriate Respond promptly to family requests or needs during services to ensure a respectful and comforting environment Experience Previous experience in funeral directing or related event planning is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to offer empathetic bereavement support during difficult times Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail Basic sales skills to help guide families through available services and products Experience in event coordination or customer service roles is advantageous Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed This part-time role offers an opportunity to develop meaningful skills in funeral service operations while making a positive impact on grieving families.
