Duties Collaborate closely with bereaved families to understand their needs and preferences for funeral arrangements Coordinate all aspects of funeral services, including scheduling, venue setup, transportation, and documentation Provide empathetic bereavement support to families during difficult times, offering guidance and reassurance Manage logistical details such as heavy lifting for equipment or caskets, ensuring safety and efficiency Plan and organize funeral events, working with clergy, vendors, and staff to create personalized ceremonies Assist in sales activities by explaining service options and helping families select appropriate packages Maintain accurate records of arrangements, legal documentation, and service details to ensure compliance and smooth operations Experience Previous experience in funeral directing or related event planning roles is highly desirable Strong skills in bereavement support with a compassionate approach to grieving families Proven ability to manage logistics involving heavy lifting or physical tasks safely and efficiently Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex options clearly and transparently Experience in sales or customer service to effectively assist families in choosing services that meet their needs Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism, empathy, and discretion Familiarity with legal requirements related to funeral arrangements is a plus This role is an excellent fit for motivated individuals who thrive on making a positive impact during challenging times.
