In this vital role, you will oversee all aspects of funeral service operations, ensuring that families receive respectful, personalized, and professional support during their most difficult times. Your expertise in funeral directing, anatomy, physiology, and bereavement support will help create meaningful experiences for grieving families. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact in the community while demonstrating exceptional customer service and event planning skills. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding the highest standards of sanitation and professionalism. Duties Coordinate and manage funeral arrangements from initial consultation through service delivery, ensuring all client needs are met with compassion and professionalism Prepare bodies for viewing and disposition, including cosmetology, dissection when necessary, and adherence to sanitation standards Provide bereavement support to families, offering guidance and emotional comfort throughout the funeral planning process Oversee the logistics of funeral events, including scheduling, transportation, and setup to ensure seamless execution Conduct sales activities related to funeral merchandise and services while maintaining a respectful approach Assist with heavy lifting of caskets or equipment as required, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times Maintain detailed records of all services provided, including documentation related to anatomy or dissection procedures when applicable Qualifications Valid license as a Funeral Director with appropriate state certification; experience in funeral directing is essential Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to assist with body preparation and dissection procedures when needed Proven ability to provide empathetic bereavement support and excellent customer service skills Experience in event planning to coordinate funeral services efficiently Knowledge of sanitation practices relevant to mortuary operations and cosmetology techniques for body preparation Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety guidelines Sales experience within a service-oriented environment is preferred but not required Join our team and help us deliver respectful, heartfelt services that honor lives while supporting families through their grieving process.
