Licensed Funeral Director

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Licensed Funeral Director to lead and coordinate all aspects of funeral services with professionalism, empathy, and excellence. Duties Coordinate and oversee funeral arrangements, including transportation, embalming, cosmetology, and service planning to ensure seamless ceremonies. Provide empathetic bereavement support to families, guiding them through the grieving process with sensitivity and understanding. Manage the preparation of the deceased, while adhering strictly to health and safety standards. Lead funeral service events, including conducting services, directing processions, and ensuring all details align with family wishes. Assist families with sales of memorial products, caskets, urns, and other funeral merchandise while maintaining a compassionate approach. Collaborate with vendors, clergy, and community organizations to coordinate event planning for memorial services. Qualifications Valid Michigan licensure as a Funeral Director with active certification required. Demonstrated experience in funeral directing, event planning, and customer service roles. Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate bereavement support. Sales experience related to funeral merchandise is preferred but not required; a genuine desire to assist families is essential.
