Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Licensed Funeral Director to lead and coordinate all aspects of funeral services with professionalism, empathy, and excellence. In this vital role, you will guide families through difficult times, ensuring their loved ones are honored with dignity and respect. Your expertise in funeral directing, combined with your strong customer service skills and knowledge of physiology and anatomy, will help create meaningful memorial experiences. This position offers an opportunity to make a profound difference in the lives of grieving families while demonstrating exceptional organizational and event planning abilities. Significant annual bonus program that leads the funeral home industry. Duties Coordinate and oversee funeral arrangements, including transportation, embalming, cosmetology, and service planning to ensure seamless ceremonies. Provide empathetic bereavement support to families, guiding them through the grieving process with sensitivity and understanding. Manage the preparation of the deceased, while adhering strictly to health and safety standards. Lead funeral service events, including conducting services, directing processions, and ensuring all details align with family wishes. Assist families with sales of memorial products, caskets, urns, and other funeral merchandise while maintaining a compassionate approach. Collaborate with vendors, clergy, and community organizations to coordinate event planning for memorial services. Qualifications Valid Michigan licensure as a Funeral Director with active certification required. Demonstrated experience in funeral directing, event planning, and customer service roles. Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate bereavement support. Sales experience related to funeral merchandise is preferred but not required; a genuine desire to assist families is essential.
