Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pennsylvania Licensed Funeral Director Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of bereavement support and exhibit exceptional customer service skills. This role involves overseeing all aspects of funeral services, from planning to execution, ensuring that families receive the highest level of care during their time of need. The Funeral Director will also be responsible for maintaining the facility and ensuring compliance with all regulations. There is the possibility of ownership in the future if the candidate is a positive fit for the community. Living accommodations are available. Coordinate and direct funeral services, including viewings, memorials, and burials. Provide bereavement support to families, assisting them in making informed decisions during difficult times. Manage logistics related to event planning, including transportation and scheduling of services. Prepare the deceased for viewing by sanitizing, dressing, and cosmetizing as necessary. Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with legal requirements. Collaborate with other professionals such as medical examiners and cemetery personnel. Ensure the facility is clean, organized, and compliant with health regulations. Assist in heavy lifting when necessary, including moving caskets and other equipment. Requirements Proven experience in funeral directing & supervising. Strong customer service skills with the ability to empathize with grieving families. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is essential for preparing the deceased appropriately. Ability to perform basic cosmetology tasks for the preparation of the deceased. Capability to handle heavy lifting as required by the role. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial for maintaining records and managing services effectively.
