Duties Coordinate and oversee all aspects of funeral arrangements, including planning services, transportation, and documentation. Provide bereavement support to families, offering comfort and guidance throughout the entire process. Prepare and dress deceased individuals with attention to hygiene, cosmetology standards, and respectful presentation. Manage dissection and anatomy-related procedures when required for autopsies or medical examinations. Ensure sanitation standards are maintained across all facilities and equipment to uphold health regulations. Assist families with selecting caskets, urns, and memorial products while providing sales support with sensitivity. Organize and execute funeral services and memorial events, including logistics, scheduling, and coordination with vendors. Handle heavy lifting of caskets or equipment safely during transportation and service setup. Maintain detailed records of all arrangements, legal documentation, and compliance requirements. Skills Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy to accurately handle autopsies or medical examinations. Excellent customer service skills to support grieving families with compassion and professionalism. Proficiency in funeral directing procedures, including embalming, dressing, and casketing. Experience in event planning to coordinate memorial services seamlessly. Ability to perform dissection tasks with precision when necessary for medical or legal purposes. Knowledge of sanitation protocols to ensure a clean and safe environment at all times. Competence in sales techniques combined with sensitivity to assist families in making appropriate choices. Effective communication skills for providing bereavement support and coordinating with team members.
