Job Description

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Person and Funeral Director to join our team. This vital role combines the art of funeral directing with compassionate support for grieving families, ensuring that every service is handled with dignity, professionalism, and empathy. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of physiology and anatomy, along with excellent customer service skills, to guide families through difficult times while coordinating all aspects of funeral arrangements. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives during their most vulnerable moments. Responsibilities Coordinate and oversee funeral services from initial planning to final disposition, ensuring all arrangements meet family wishes and legal requirements Provide bereavement support to grieving families, offering comfort, guidance, and clear communication throughout the process Prepare and handle deceased bodies with respect, including sanitation, cosmetology, dissection, and anatomical procedures as needed Manage event planning for funeral ceremonies, including logistics, venue setup, and coordination with vendors or clergy Conduct heavy lifting of caskets or equipment safely while adhering to sanitation and safety protocols Assist families with sales of memorial products or services, providing detailed information and compassionate guidance Ensure all aspects of the funeral home operations comply with health regulations and sanitation standards Qualifications Proven experience in funeral directing or related roles within the funeral industry Strong knowledge of physiology and human anatomy to handle body preparation accurately and respectfully Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach toward grieving families Experience in event planning and coordinating funeral ceremonies Ability to perform dissection and cosmetology tasks as part of body preparation processes Physical ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently Familiarity with bereavement support practices and emotional intelligence skills Valid license or certification in funeral directing preferred; relevant certifications in sanitation or cosmetology are advantageous Join us in providing heartfelt support during life's most challenging moments. Pay:
$31,200.00 - $52,000.00 per year
