Job Description

LAND O'FROST SEARCY, ARKANSAS
Laundry Room Attendant This position is part time, working 12 hours shifts Thursday and Friday. An additional 6 hours may be assigned based on business needs
QUALIFICATIONS
Must know basic math. Must be able to read and write Must be capable of lifting forty (40) pounds. Must be capable of operating the following equipment: Industrial washing machines. Industrial dryers. Sewing machine. Iron. Bench scales. Must take "Blood-Borne Pathogen" training and receive Hepatitis "B" vaccine or sign waiver on vaccine.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Gather dirty smocks, towels, and gloves from various laundry hampers in the production hallway. Sort dirty laundry by category, (gray smocks, towels and gloves, blue maintenance smocks, and visitor coats). Wash loads accordingly, (insuring fifty (50) pounds per load minimum). Dry loads accordingly. Clean tables in break room after plant production breaks and lunch. (Remove trash from tables and wash tables.) Repair torn smocks when necessary (utilizing sewing machine). Record water temperature in appropriate log at least three (3) times per shift. (This is step number eight (8) in the wash cycle.) Store all clean smocks, towels, gloves, hairnets, etc. in appropriate storage locations. Keep laundry area clean and neat. Pass out appropriate laundry items to production personnel. Insure that production personnel only receive required items. (One (1) smock, per person, and one (1) pair of gloves, unless prior arrangements have been made through plant supervision.) Insure that dirty hairnets are returned to the laundry before issuing replacement. If plant personnel are habitual offenders of not following this policy, notify the Production Manager. Record number of loads washed per shift in appropriate log book. Notify Facility Maintenance personnel of malfunctioning equipment in laundry room. Obtain contaminated laundry and wash according to the "Blood-Borne Pathogen Exposure Control Plan". (Insure that all precautions are followed that are outlined in this program.) Responsible for adhering to all food safety, quality and GMP procedures specific to this position
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES
To assist with janitorial duties as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Occasional lifting of up to forty (40) pounds. Zero (0) to six (6) times per day. Bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, and turning 50% of the day. Standing and walking 50% of the day.
