Job Description

Advertisement Summary of Position:
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for cleaning, folding, tracking and stocking linens and laundry to meet staff and property needs, per property standards of cleanliness, and for providing warm, welcoming, genuine, efficient, resourceful and HEARTfelt care to our guests and associates.
Essential Functions:
  • Separate spotted and stained linen for special treatment
  • Load and wash linen as per current operational procedures and as instructed by the Housekeeping Supervisor
  • Dry and fold linen as per current operational procedures and as instructed by the Housekeeping Supervisor
  • Adhere to current industry timing standards
  • Adhere to current cleaning protocols at all times
  • Clean lint filters on dryers
  • Keep work area clean and organized
  • Retrieve, push, and restock heavy cart on a daily basis
  • Respond, in a timely manner, to staff requests
  • Report all suspicious persons, activities or hazardous conditions to Housekeeping Supervisor, Front Desk, AGM or GM
  • Turn in all items found in associate's working area to the front desk/ lost and found, items i.e., jewelry, watches, etc. and immediately call the Housekeeping Department
  • Report all maintenance deficiencies as instructed to the maintenance department as soon as they occur
  • Assists other team members and departments as needed in order to contribute to the smooth operations of the lodge
  • Other duties as assigned by the management team
Qualifications:
Education:
High School Graduate or equivalent preferred
Certificates or Licenses:
N/A Experience:
A minimum of six months to 1 year in a cleaning or janitorial position highly preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with other associates as well as guests. Ability to comprehend English language sufficient to understand information such as labels and instructions and basic guest requests.
Personal Characteristics :
  • Behaves ethically and honestly
  • Communicates effectively: Speaks and listens and engages in a clear, thorough, and timely manner, effectively reading and writing, using the English language (preferred)
Professional Appearance:
Exhibits an appearance appropriate for a four-diamond resort (Specific grooming standards are available for review)
