General Purpose:

As a Laundry Aide at Diablo Valley Post Acute, you will perform a variety of general laundry and housekeeping duties to provide high-quality laundry services and maintain a sanitary environment free from offensive odors for our nursing home residents.

Essential Duties:

Ensure an adequate supply of clean linens is available for the care and comfort of all residents. Maintain all linen in good repair, removing any items with holes and/or stains from service. Collect laundry from residents on a daily basis or as needed. Label clothing items for new residents as required. Sort, treat, wash, dry, and fold clothing and linens. Deliver clean laundry items to residents' rooms. Follow all sanitary processes and procedures related to laundry duties. Maintain an inventory of laundry supplies. Use all laundry equipment and supplies safely and responsibly. Report any laundry equipment issues to the Administrator.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous laundry experience in a healthcare or similar setting is a plus, but not required. Ability to work collaboratively within a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation.
