The primary duties of the Laundry Attendant include, the maintenance and all aspect of handling guest linens, which includes but is not limited to, preparation of soiled linen for wash, finishes, inspects, folds and stores clean linens. Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Knowledge, understanding, and adherence to Company Core Values, Mission Statement, and Ayres Way. Follow company Housekeeping Policy as stated in the Team Member Handbook. Follow safety procedures, including but not limited to proper posture, no heavy lifting, do not over exert more than the job's physical requirements. Ask for help as needed. Continually reviews safety practices and training opportunities with Executive Housekeeper or safety officers. Responsible for washing, drying, and folding all linen and terry to hotel specifications. Responsible for washing, drying, ironing, and folding all banquet linen including tablecloths, napkins, and table skirting. Evaluates all linen to ensure that it is free of stains, tears, burns, and treats linen appropriately based on condition. Maintains proper levels of chemicals in the washing machines needed to launder items. Adheres to all machine operating procedures and safety procedures, including appropriate chemical handling and PPE procedures. Pick up and deliver articles for laundry. Maintain cleanliness of hotel van interior and exterior. Collect dirty linen from Room Attendant carts and deliver to laundry for cleaning, following hotel policy for sorting and use of PPE. Efficiently process and prioritize tasks. Maintain confidentiality of hotel guests, team members, and pertinent hotel information. Ensure security of guestroom access and hotel property, including assigned keys and communication devices. Ensure security of guestroom access and hotel property by following hotel protocols for guest access into guestrooms, opening doors for guests, and verifying guest identities. Follow lost and found protocols. Report any Lost & Found items, following established procedures for logging and bagging items, to the Executive Housekeeper or Supervisor on Duty.
