Job Description

Position Summary:
Mission Valley Post Acute is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Laundry Aide to join our team. The Laundry Aide is responsible for ensuring that all linens, garments, and facility laundry are cleaned, sanitized, and distributed in a timely and efficient manner. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident laundry and facility linens Operate and maintain laundry equipment according to safety and operational guidelines Follow infection control and sanitation procedures at all times Label and organize residents' personal clothing to prevent loss or mix-ups Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area Monitor laundry supplies and notify supervisor when inventory is low Handle soiled laundry with proper protective equipment and procedures Provide courteous and respectful service to residents and staff
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous laundry or housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting is a plus Ability to operate laundry machinery safely and efficiently Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods Must be able to lift up to 30-50 pounds Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to heat and humidity
Schedule:
Part-time hours; must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed
Work Environment:
Healthcare facility with exposure to cleaning chemicals, laundry equipment, and biohazard materials (with proper safety protocols in place)
