Laundry Attendant

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels, and garments are cleaned, pressed, and presented to the highest standards. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and quality of our laundry services, particularly in a hotel environment. The Laundry Attendant will work closely with other staff members to ensure efficient operations while providing excellent service to our guests. Duties Operate washing machines and dryers according to established procedures. Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry items including linens, towels, and guest clothing. Perform dry cleaning tasks as needed to maintain the quality of garments. Inspect items for stains or damage before processing and report any issues to management. Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by regularly cleaning machines and work surfaces. Ensure proper handling of chemicals and adherence to safety protocols. Assist in inventory management by keeping track of laundry supplies and notifying management when stock is low. Collaborate with hotel staff to ensure timely delivery of clean items. Weekly Laundry Inventory Requirements Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is preferred but not required. Familiarity with dry cleaning processes is a plus. Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on cleanliness and quality. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Must be able to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods. A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
