Launderer I (Full-Time)

At Vicar's Landing, our Laundry Services team plays a vital role in creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents. Every fresh sheet, neatly folded towel, and well-cared-for garment makes a difference in someone's day. In this role, you'll be part of a hardworking, supportive team that keeps our community running behind the scenes—while still making a meaningful impact every single day. What You'll Do Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing for residents and departments Follow proper procedures for spotting, soaking, and handling laundry to maintain quality standards Safely prepare and use cleaning chemicals according to guidelines and labeling requirements Keep laundry equipment and work areas clean, organized, and sanitized Transport supplies and equipment to work areas efficiently at the start of each shift Report damaged equipment or safety concerns promptly Follow all safety practices, including proper handling of soiled linens and use of protective equipment Treat residents and their belongings with respect, dignity, and care Support team operations with a positive, "can-do" attitude and assist with additional duties as needed Skills You Need Must Have Skills Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stay active throughout your shift Reliable, punctual, and able to manage daily tasks efficiently Strong attention to cleanliness and detail Team-oriented with a respectful and positive attitude Nice to Have Skills Previous laundry, housekeeping, or hospitality experience Experience working in a senior living or healthcare environment How You'll Grow Here In your first 12-24 months, you'll have opportunities to: Learn all aspects of laundry operations and equipment Build strong teamwork and communication skills Cross-train within housekeeping or other departments Take on additional responsibilities and grow within the organization
