Full Job Description Position Title:
Laundry Attendant Reports to:
Executive Housekeeper Position Summary:
Responsible for the cleaning of guest/member apparel, sheets, blankets and other linen used by the Club.
Essential Functions:
Loads and unloads articles into washers and adds specified amount of detergent or other cleaning agent Sorts articles according to identification number or type Irons all table linens and other Club linens Ensures cleanliness of equipment and areas Sorts and counts articles to verify quantities on lists Picks up dirty bluebirds and distributes clean ones daily in the morning and afternoon Knows and complies with all company policies and procedures pertaining to the laundry area Abides by safety regulations set forth by the material safety data sheets when using chemicals Performs all other duties as assigned by employer
Education:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
Experience:
Preferred one year experience in Housekeeping or Laundry setting.
Additional Skills:
Personable and professional demeanor, ability to understand and comprehend instructions. Physical demands for this position require exerting 20 to 50 lbs of force occasionally and 10 to 25 lbs of force frequently. Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time as well as perform bending, lifting and reaching motions.
